The Picodata development team is pleased to announce the release of Picodata 24.1, our core software product. It’s been just few months since our last release, yet the team managed to implement quite a lot of stunning new features of our distributed DBMS.

[picodata run --shredding](https://docs-picodata-io.translate.goog/picodata/stable/reference/cli/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=ru&_x_tr_pto=wapp#run_shredding)enables secure removing of data files (snap, xlog). - New option
[picodata run --log](https://docs-picodata-io.translate.goog/picodata/stable/tutorial/audit_log/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=ru&_x_tr_pto=wapp#audit_log_config)configures the diagnotic log. - New option
[picodata run --memtx-memo](https://docs-picodata-io.translate.goog/picodata/devel/reference/cli/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=ru&_x_tr_pto=wapp#run_memtx_memory)rycontrols the amount of memory allocated for the database engine. - Global tables now can be used in complex queries that include EXCEPT, JOIN, UNION ALL, WHERE … IN (SELECT…), GROUP BY
