Radix 0.5.0 is out!

Александр Толстой

Picodata developers are happy to announce the new release of Radix 0.5.0 — commercial Picodata plugin which implements Redis on the base of Picodata DBMS. Radix expands Picodata features and capabilities.

The new Radix 0.5.0 improves support for the Redis Cluster specification:

  • Radix now segments data the same way as Redis
  • Standard Redis utilities render Picodata cluster with Radix as a valid Redis cluster
  • Client libraries can get cluster map with standard means via RESP protocol

Radix 0.5.0 supports our latest (as of the time of writing) Picodata 25.1 release with the following side notes:

  • Offline migration is required in case of existing Redis clusters
  • Radix can spread its 16 databases across different Picodata tiers to better balance the workload

A more detailed manual on using Radix is available on the Picodata documentation site.
