Picodata development team is pleased to announce the first public release of Genin – our open source tool for automatic generation of Ansible inventory used by Tarantool Cartridge. Genin is a command-line tool which takes your concise YAML file with basic inventory description and expands it into (usually) lengthy Ansible inventory file.
Genin lets you generate your inventory quickly and hassle-free. You’ll get a ready to use file populated with valid inventory entries for the Ansible role that you want to use in order to deploy client apps in Tarantool Cartridge. Genin is written using the Rust programming language. The new release is shipped together with a comprehensive manual for easier installation and running.
