The Picodata development team introduces Radix, a Picodata plug-in that allows you to access a Picodata DBMS cluster using the Redis binary protocol. Radix extends the functionality of Picodata.
The basic idea behind Radix is to offer a drop-in replacement for Redis installations. When the plugin is enabled, the Picodata instance brings up a Redis-compatible server, so that users can work with the Picodata cluster as if it were Redis. For example, you can use the redis-cli
client to connect.
In a cluster deployment, the Redis port and server are raised on each node in the cluster, with each node providing access to all data in the cluster. Deployment with 100% data persistence, replication, and geo-backing is possible, as well as deployment without journaling, in cache mode.
A more detailed manual on using Radix is available on the Picodata documentation site.
